It's no secret that poor Stephanie has had her fair share of criticism, Stephen King has famously branded her a bad author and there seems to be a lot of literary snobbery surrounding her as a writer. So what do you think? Is she a good writer? Personally, while I can see that her writing often could do with some heavy editing, and she does have a tendency to use long words just for the sake of it, she is a good storyteller (glowing vampires aside ) and I think if she found a way to cut the unnecessary stuff from her writing, then she'd be much better. That said, she does have her audience, and I think that if a book has a story which I can get into then I can overlook some of the flaws in the writing, which is what I've done while reading Twilight. When reading The Host I was much more critical because I didn't like the story as much as I did Twilight, and I could tell that there wasn't the same passion that went into Twilight.
